6 Bangin' Brunches in Sydney 🥑

Brunch is a big deal. The work week is merely a build up to the brunches to come. Don't think we're doing that 9 to 5 for nothing.

When your long awaited brunch doesn't meet (the incredibly high) expectations you've already set, it's bound to be a sad day.

We've solved alllll of your problems by finding you 6 of the best brunch plates in Sydney. Thank us later.

TREETOP CAFE (Waterloo)

If you've ever been tempted to get literally every plate on the menu - Treetop Cafe makes it a little too easy to do just that. The breakfast platter (for 2, 4 or 6 people) comes packed with pancakes, eggs three ways, bacon, sausage, ham, chorizo, roasted tomato, mushrooms, hash browns, avocado, grilled halloumi, zucchini, asparagus and toast.

Yeah, no kidding. They also do a pancake of the week.

CAFE BIRKENHEAD (Drummoyne)

Alright, so we've admitedly got a bit of a thing for brunch platters - but Cafe Birkenhead takes our obsession to new levels. THREE new levels, to be exact. The bottom level is filled with fresh fruit, the middle has got your classic big brekkie, and the top - pancakes!

There's also fairy-floss topped French toast ... Arguably a dessert; but obviously OK to have at 10am because they've told us it's breakfast. 😇 Score.

ASLAN COFFEE (St Peters)

What does happiness taste like? Crumpet French toast with grilled pineapple, mascarpone, fresh fruit and honey on quinoa, almond and pistachio granola. LOOK at that mascarpone. 😫

Your coffee cravings are in great hands here, too. Aslan doubles up as a roastery, with specialty Indonesian coffee.

BITTER & TWISTED (The Rocks)

Merging two of our favourite things into one potentially better thing. Brunch + Burgers = The Twisted Brekkie Burger. It's loaded with bacon, egg, smashed avo, spinach, tomato relish, a hash brown and mayo on a black brioche bun.

It's 'twisted' because of the inevitable obssession that's coming your way after you've tried it. Brilliant.

CALABUR CAFE (Bondi Junction)

An east meets west menu, fusing Asian flavour with all your favourite brunch dishes.

Calabur Cafe ain't about basic brunching - with Asian steamed egg pudding, green smoothie bowls, spicy eggs & avo on toast, veggie bowls and fresh fruit granola. We are particularly excited about the Asian steamed egg pudding. Get it.
